Misperceptions of People About Bangladeshi Private Universities

I am afraid to see so many misperceptions about the private university students. First of all, attraction to the opposite gender is natural. It is not true that only private university students have this tendency. Secondly, there are lots of students in private university those who are from well behaved family and a huge number of students are very much religious also. They arrange to go to tablig/chilla etc regularly. Then, students are not actually rushing for all the private universities. They are rushing only to the few best universities (e.g. NSU, EWU, AIUB, BRAC, IUB). Because these few universities are providing a huge amount of learning & teaching facilities to the students which is impossible to get in public universities because of some limitations. Yes, admission in public universities is still very competitive because there is a perception among the guardians and the students that is very high in their mind. But you should know that admission in best private universities is also getting very tough. Yes, private universities also have some limitations. As the tuition fee is very high it is natural that most of the students came from rich family. But this is not really true at the present time. Because, for last 1/2 years, a huge number of students from the middle class family have admitted in those private universities. Though their family is managing money by facing many troubles. So it is clear that good students are getting admitted in those best private universities. The result can be found if you see the present corporate offices. It is fully dominated by the talented graduates from the good private universities. If you want to talk about their own CAMPUS.. Look, the private universities have started by some individual’s initiative and this system was started in 1992. It was not a very long way for them. But still they have shown very significant improvement in the development of higher studies of Bangladesh. And some of the universities have started to work with their own permanent campus (NSU, EWU, AIUB, and etc.) which will give a new look to the higher education environment of Bangladesh. A huge number of private universities are there those have no quality of teaching, very poor facilities for the students, and they are only doing business and playing with the life of the students. Those universities are causing harm for the good universities as the perception of the general people are based on the private universities as a whole.

So I can conclude with this line that there are many features of the (best) private universities which are attracting talented & new generation students very much. There is a tradition of cold-war between the students of Public & Private universities…come-on…we are not enemies…we are friends!
